Prajwal Awale now Nineteen years old boy, case of Moderate Categorization of Mental Retardation with 65% of Disability, Delayed Development, Unable to Talk and Not Cried since birth. He had one brother and one sister; both siblings are in normal condition and having their educations. He is second among the siblings. His family hails from Kasbe Digraj from a low income strata. His mother is house made. She cannot go outside for earning because she has to stay home and look after Prajwal. So, the household needs are entirely dependent on the daily wage obtained by his father.

Prajwal needs to have Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy on regular basis. As his family financial condition if so poor, he need helping hands to get his treatment done.

Beth EL Foundation supports Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programmes in the most remote rural areas in Sangli District.

Through these programmes, children receive regular visits from Beth EL Foundation workers in their homes rather than getting treatment in institutions, away from families. Beth EL Foundation workers evaluate the individual needs of children. For example, the child might require immediate medical attention, physiotherapy, crutches, a wheelchair, hearing aids or spectacles. In addition, Beth EL Foundation workers show parents how they can support and strengthen their child who has cerebral palsy or deformed legs with specific physiotherapy exercises.

You will become a source of hope for the child you sponsor, and for that child’s family and community, too. You will be helping your sponsored child to develop and access their true potential, so they can build better lives for themselves and their communities
